Our participation in this year’s USSA annual congress has shown us that ski cross is recognized, anticipated and regarded highly by everyone in the competitive alpine sports community in The United States. Then why do we have such a slow adoption rate of this new Olympic discipline across the nation? We raised this question back then to find out the nature of the problem. As it turns out, the biggest issue that restrains ski cross from the explosive development is the shortage of information. This tendency is common to every new sport. To take part in solving this problem and help ski cross gain necessary traction, we decided to organize this discovery tour. Our goal is to meet personally with key alpine sports stakeholders and make a pitch for the ski cross adoption at their venues.

We are confident that ski cross is destined for a big future and want to share our vision with anyone interested in getting involved with the sport. Bringing almost a decade of specialized ski cross experience, we offer complete training programs for athletes and coaches, providing step-by-step process to support a grassroots development of new racers. Our focus for the coming up season is to host a series of beginner “Yellow” level ski cross competitions geared towards general public participation and we are heading out on a discovery tour to find the best place to be considered for the capital of US ski cross.

Focus of the discovery tour:

  •  Create a calendar of ski cross events for “Yellow” level series

  • Provide training programs for athletes

  • Provide assistance in the organization of new ski cross clubs.

  • Find location for the development of the first ski cross academy in the United States.
